We are glad to report that our second MAA-NREUP summer research was a success. Participants in the project experienced their first encounter with serious math research, and what they did for the six weeks made their confidence stronger in pursuing math research in future. Participants learned important concepts and tools from Linear Algebra, Category Theory, Differential Geometry as well as an improved version of the course developed during the last summer research program.
Graphs, Lie Algebras, and Differential Geometry - find out how they're related in our summer research project.
Students who attended this program went to excellent academic programs such as the Math in Moscow program in Russia.
Experienced number theorists and differential geometers bring high-level research to applications of advanced undergraduate knowledge.
